Available product versions

As a subscriber to a current version of Autodesk software, you have access to previous versions of the software as part of your subscription benefits. This privilege is granted to you through the Autodesk Previous Version Rights, which allow you to install and utilize specific previous versions of the software, in addition to the most up-to-date version.

It is important to note that while you can enjoy the benefits of multiple versions of Autodesk software, the total number of licenses in use at any given time should not exceed the number of licenses included in your subscription. We kindly ask you to ensure compliance with this restriction to avoid any licensing issues.

One significant advantage of Autodesk software is its backward compatibility. This means that if you decide to upgrade to the latest version, you will still be able to access and work with your older drawings or files. This feature ensures that your workflow remains uninterrupted and allows you to seamlessly transition between different versions of the software as needed.

Single Sign-On

We are excited to announce that as of 8 May 2023, Autodesk has rolled out Single Sign-on (SSO) authentication for your Autodesk account.

Single sign-on (SSO) lets users access Autodesk products and services using the same email and password they use for your organization. This means they only need to remember one password, and if they are already signed in to your organization’s network, they will not need to sign in again to access Autodesk.

Do you qualify?

From 13 April 2022, customers with 10 or more qualifying subscription seats can upgrade to Premium and get access to all the Premium benefits.

TRANSITION TO NAMED USER PLANS

Autodesk has retired plans based on serial numbers and has launched a new plan system that is based on people. These plans deliver you, and your business many benefits at a cost consistent with what you currently pay.

Dedicated access for all employees whenever they need it. No more downtime because all of your licenses are in use.
New ways to optimize licensing costs. New named plans will allow you to have visibility into your usage data allowing you to make smarter investments for your company.
Plans for individuals, teams, and enterprises with dedicated or flexible software access, depending on how your company works.
You will no longer have to manage network servers or track anonymous serial numbers.
This is just the start of a more relevant user experience including collaboration, tailored learning content and insights.

Who is affected by this change?

Customers who buy new 3-year subscriptions after 7 January 2023.
Customers with existing 3-year subscriptions (including those discounted through trade-in programs like Move to Subscription and transition to named user) that renew after 7 January 2023.
Customers trading in existing seats for a 3-year subscription after 7 January 2023.
